“Marissa Groom played a valuable role in developing the museum’s brand identity, and has consistently implemented it with creativity and professionalism. Projects have included ads, brochures, event invitations (printed and evites), stationery, tabletop signage and flyers. She is an effective communicator—we never have to guess about the status or direction of a project—who consistently meets her deadlines. Her positive attitude and strong work ethic make her a pleasure to do business with.”
Born and raised in Arizona, I draw inspiration from the stark modernity of the desert, and occasionally dream I'm a cactus. I currently own branding & print studio, Groom Creative, and maintain a board role in AIGA Arizona as the Design for Good Director. My specialties include branding, advertising, print design, publication design, and art direction.
I branded and helped launch the newest museum in Arizona, Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West, and my clients include non-profits, arts organizations, wellness companies, law firms, and restaurants. My past job titles include Marketing & Design Manager for the Heard Museum, and AIGA Arizona’s 2016-2017 In-House Design Director. My work has promoted exhibits and cultural events to all ages, from young children to refined art collectors.
I'm also a trained singer, so you can get a jingle included with your branding package if that’s your thing.
“I have worked with Marissa Groom for several years. While we were both at the Heard Museum, we collaborated on several projects, including the museum’s newsletter, general and special event materials, ads and other collateral. This year, I opened my own business, Jolon Indian Media, a woman-owned journalism and content development firm. Marissa created a beautiful logo that epitomized what my firm does.
Marissa has always been a joy to work with; her professionalism, coupled with her positive energy and can-do spirit, is a great combination. You’ll be happy you selected her for your next project!”
